About OscarAndDeb Weather

Hi Everyone,

For Christmas 2005, Deb bought me a Vantage Pro2 weather station. On January 6, 2006 at approximately 2:15 PM, the installation was finished data was collected. At first wview was used to collect and report the data. When support for wview ended, weewx was installed. weewx runs on a Rasperry Pi 5 (2GB) using Raspberry Pi OS (linux).

To get an accurate wind reading, the anemometer should be located 15 feet from any obstruction in any direction. The anemometer is installed at the roof peak and reflects the wind hitting the house, so may not reflect the actual wind speed.

Data from this weather station is sent to the following weather networks:

1. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Citizen Weather Observer Program (CWOP). Id is CW5066 .
2. Wunderground Weather Network. Id is KCOBLACK5 .
3. PWSWeather.com Id is KCOBLACK1 .
4. AWEKAS Automatic Weather Map System .
5. WOW-BE (Belgium WOW reboot) Station OscarAndDeb Weather .
